Description
Welcome!
For 2025, Millennium Meadows Marathon is proud to be hosting its 8th year! We will feature a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, and Marathon RELAY. All four events will take place Sunday, August 25th.
Again this year we are offering a referral program! Once you register you'll see a referral link that you can share via social media or email, with whoever will signup. Once they register using that code, YOU will be refunded $5 per person. It's good for as many times, until your registration is fully refunded! Who doesn't love money back?
Update to Team Relay: We have changed the registration structure. Now, the first person to register, creates the team name, becomes the Captain and pays for their own registration. Then, 5 additional members must register and pay for themselves. This way the Team Captain doesn't have to do all the work of collecting from the team.
Secchia Meadows provides the perfect course for a team relay, with each relay leg being roughly 4 miles. Round up a team and come compete. We'll set up a relay row, where teams can place tents and have a great time.
Millennium Meadows Marathon events occur at Secchia Meadows in Millennium Park, one of the many Kent County Parks and what we think is the most scenic and beautiful. You will run on a wide and paved path that crosses a footbridge, winds along the Grand River, and cuts through meadows. Most of the course is heavily shaded.
We are a proud supporter of the Kent County Parks Department and Team World Vision - Grand Rapids. Use our Donate button on the left menu, select which organization and follow the steps.

The course for the marathon is the same as the Last Chance BQ.2 Marathon - Grand Rapids. The half marathon uses the same course, but only 3 loops instead of 6 with a shorter leg to the finish line for a total of 13.35 miles (with a 13.1 official half marathon split mat). The 10K uses the marathon course but with only one loop. It's about a mile from the start to the loop, and about a mile from the loop back to the finish. FOR THE MARATHON ONLY--A 5:00AM EARLY START IS RECOMMENDED FOR RUNNERS WHO WILL TAKE MORE THAN 6 HOURS!
The loop is 4.05 miles long. Mostly flat. The section between 2.5 and 3.5 (on the first time around) rolls gradually uphill but there are no major hills.
Aid stations at the beginning of the loop (about the 1 mile mark) and in the middle (just past the 3 mile mark) with Gatorade, Water, and maybe a little extra nutrition as well. We're likely to have some GU packets available, but plan to carry your own stuff as well.
MARATHON ONLY--5AM START AVAILABLE FOR "VELOCITY CHALLENGED" RUNNERS. IF YOU PLAN TO WIN AN AWARD OR QUALIFY FOR BOSTON, YOU NEED TO START AT THE NORMAL START TIME AT 6AM
10K Course
Click the icon below to download the attached PDF.
NOTE--FOR 2021 WE ARE CHANGING TO A 10K COURSE. MAP TO BE POSTED SOON.
