Description

The 2021 Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival will be a Poker Run.  Riders will have the choice of a short, long, and adventure route.  Each route will have multiple poker chip stations at random locations.  Riders will collect a chip from each location and submit them to find out their poker hand.  The best poker hand will win various prize packages!  The ride is free to enter.  If you would like to make a donation to the trails, you can do so during the registration process or at any time by clicking the Donation button at the top of this page.  All proceeds from the donations will go to supporting the Maasto Hiihto/Churning Rapids and Swedetown trails.

Please note that this year's event is self supported.  There will not be any aid stations, and riders will need to navigate the course on their own.  Also, please note that the time slots are meant to minimize the number of people congregating at the start and at the Poker Chip stations.  They do not designate which distance you're riding.  You can ride any of the three distances in any of the four time slots.

More details on the event and how the Poker Run will be handled can be found here.

Early Bird Darwing

Register by 11:59 PM on April 30th to take part in the Early Bird drawing.  One winner will be chosen from each of the three course distances and will receive a $25 gift certificate from a local bike shop!

Course Maps

Because the event is self paced, each rider is expected to navigate the course on their own, and each course will use well established trails.  Course markers will be placed at key intersections, and ribbon will be used periodically as confidence markers.

Registration and Race Time Slots

This year we will not have a mass start like previous events.  There are four time slots to choose from, and each one has 50 spots available.  They are meant to minimize the number of people gathering at the start line or at the Poker Chip stations.  Choose the time slot that works best for you and enjoy a day of riding in the Keweenaw!
