Description
YMCA of Barry County’s 16th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
Come and participate in the beautiful run/walk near YMCA Camp Algonquin on Thanksgiving morning. Our 16th annual Turkey Trot includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run. As always, we will award Otto's Turkey Farm's turkey to the top male and female runners. Bring along your loved ones and enjoy a morning full of fun! WOBBLE BEFORE YOU GOBBLE!

- 5K Registration Fees:
- Early Bird: Registrations by October 31st, Included: long sleeve dri-fit shirt
- $20 for Youth 17 & Under
- $30 for Adults 18+
- Prices go up: November 1st-20th
- $25 for Youth 17 & Under
- $35 for Adults 18+
- Late Registration: November 21st-26th *NO SHIRT* (online registration ends Nov 26th, but race day registration is available 7-8 am)

- $40 for Adults 18+

Check-in Race/BIB Packet Pick up:
• Wednesday, November 27th at YMCA Camp Algonquin Lodge: 4:00-7:00 PM (Due to construction at the camp, please enter through the main camp office doors and go upstairs.)
• Race Day pick-up will be available from 7:00-8:00 AM (YMCA Lodge)
• RACE DAY REGISTRATION will be available 7:00-8:00 AM (no t-shirt)
Race Start:
• 8:30 am Fun Run @ corner of Buehler Rd & Iroquois Trail
• 8:45 am 5K @ corner of Buehler Rd & Iroquois Trail
Parking:
ALCA Lodge; 2403 Iroquois Trail, & New Y Building; 2350 Iroquois Trail (Old Positive Directions building). Please follow instructions from the parking attendants. No public parking is available at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
5K Race Route:
Begins at Buehler Road, Right on Woodruff Road, Right on Hammond Road, Right on Iroquois Trail, End on the front lawn at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
1 Mile Fun Run Route:
Begins on Buehler Road, Left on Iroquois Trail, Go past camp to turn around sign, and ends on the front lawn at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
Contests/Prizes:
- 1st Place Male and Female 5K Adult 18+ winners: Win the race, and you will receive a turkey donated by Otto’s Turkey Farm & finish picture
- 1st Place Male and Female 5K Youth 17&Under winners: Will receive a dozen turkey cookies & finish picture!
- Best Dressed: Wear your most festive fall gear. The best dressed will win a prize and have their picture taken at the finish!
School Challenge:
Gather all the members of your school district and invite them to join you in a 5K run/walk! The school with the highest % of students participating per their enrollment for the school system will be presented with the prestigious turkey trophy, which can be displayed at the school for the following year. The trophy will be awarded and announced in the week following Thanksgiving.
Give: On race day, all racers are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items. The Y will donate all items to the Barry County United Way. Donation tables will be in both parking lots.
End of Event:
Meet us on the front lawn after you finish for HOT COCOA, water, and giveaways!
