Lansing Red Dress Run

For 2015, Lansing’s annual Red Dress Run, will be held on Saturday, February 14th (Valentines Day!) commencing at 12:00 Noon at the Midtown Brewing Company, 402 South Washington Square. We shall depart from MBC about 1:00pm and this year we shall head south along Washington Ave to Lansing’s historic Reo Town.

As in previous years, all participants (male and female) are expected to don themselves in the most flattering RED DRESS (or other red garb . . . skirts, muumuus, tunics).

Since it is Valentines Day, and the weekend before Fat Tuesday, there are two special opportunities this year. First, bring valentines to give out to any and all of your special Red Dress Run buddies. Second, Reo Town Bar is celebrating Mardi Gras with special festivities – accessorizing in the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold is encouraged.

While its great fun to run with your similarly attired participants, the Greater Lansing Hash House Harriers (GLH3) believe it is important to consider those who are having difficulties at this time of year. A $10 donation is requested, with all funds collected to be given to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

Last but not Least, while this is called the Red Dress Run, no actual running is necessary; participants may walk or stroll at any pace they are comfortable with. Finally, please drink responsibly and plan for safe transportation home.
