$60 9:30AM EDT Run the 8 Mile perimeter of Mackinac Island and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the way! This race is the second event in the Mackinac Island Trio.

Kids Race

$15 11:45AM EDT Kids 12 and under will run a choice of two short courses (~400 or ~800 yards). All participants receive a shirt and medal

Virtual Race

$60 Run or walk 8 Miles at your convenience and post your results. We will mail your bib, shirt and medal. This virtual race will qualify for the Mackinac Island Trio.

Description

Join us September 6, 2025, at 9:30 am for the 54th running of one of the oldest and most scenic races in Michigan. Early Fall is the best time of year to run or walk the perimeter of Mackinac Island, where you will enjoy sparkling water, spectacular views and historic sites!

The Island is a unique destination that can only be reached by ferry - and no motorized vehicles allowed. Step back in time to a bygone era where travel is done by foot, bicycle, carriage or horse. We're expecting over 1800 runners and walkers this year - the Mackinac Island Eight Mile is definitely a race you will never forget!
