TRVFIT Neon Night 5K

TRVFIT's second annual evening trail race will be a glowing event you will not forget! This race takes place after dark at about 8:00pm, so get ready to glow. Athletes must have a headlamp or flashlight, but we will also put out hundreds of tea lights along Maybury's well-marked trail so you never have to worry about getting lost. Run or walk this amazing, and well maintained course, then hang out for the after party!

T-shirt*, Race bib and Finisher medal is included in registration. Neon t-shirt, hoodie, and hat is available to add on to your registration! Complimentary paint stations will be available to decorate your event apparel before or after your race. **T-shirts guaranteed to be included with registration by September 6th. 

*Please note that this race takes place at Maybury State Park and you will need a state park recreational passport for entry to the park. You may purchase one at the gate upon entering if you do not already have one.

Packet Pick-up: Race Day Packet Pick Up is Saturday, September 14 6:30 pm – 7:45 pm – Race Site - Maybury State Park 49601 Eight Mile, Northville, MI 48167 (note: use this address to get to the correct entrance)

Parking: There is plenty of parking at the race site. Please show up early so you have plenty of time to pick up your packet and make your way to the start line. Registration and packet pickup will close PROMPTLY at 7:45pm

The Course:  The entire course will have LED tea lights on the RIGHT side of the trail. While these do not illuminate the trail, you will see them every 30 feet or so to help let you know you are still on course.

Mile 1 starts you out on a wide paved bike trail. This helps runners spread out and get the feel for night running. This paved trail will lead you to more wide trails in the grass prairie. Mile 2 moves you into the woods onto a single track dirt trail that is well maintained and perfect for this nighttime event. You will hit short stretches of pavement and be greeted by our PUMP UP crew a few times en route to a few more rolling hills and single track until you hear the music and see the biggest party in the distance at the finish line. When you finish the race make sure you stay for the after party! The party will be LIT with a live DJ, paint station, and refreshments to enjoy under the neon lights.

Heats: We will have 3 waves starting every 5 minutes. First will be our Speed Crew, followed by our Neon Runners and we will follow it up our Party Tribe. 

Winners: There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall for Men’s and Women’s categories. These will be announced following the race during the Neon Party. 

Headlamps: The better your light, the better your race experience will be. We recommend a headlight or flashlight at minimum for this night time run. 

BIBS GO ON THE FRONT (please do not put the bib on your back, under another shirt, or on your leg) or we cannot guarantee a finish time.
