Ele's Race is an annual 5K Run/Walk that directly benefits Ele's Place - Lansing, a healing center for grieving children and teens. It's a fun-filled family event that helps to raise funds and awareness for Ele's Place. All Ele's Place bereavement support services are provided at no cost to families, thanks to our generous community and participants in Ele's Race 5k.

Ele’s Race participants and donors can remember loved ones who have died, by dedicating a memory heart to be placed along the “memory mile” of the Ele’s Race 5K. Memory Hearts are available for purchase for $20 each and can be picked up during business hours at Ele’s Place, or by calling us at 517-482-1315. Memory hearts will also be available to purchase and pickup at Packet Pickup and at Ele’s Race.

This race is part of the 2019 Greater Lansing Race Series. The series features 12 races from the Greater Lansing Area starting in March and ending in late September. There is no need to register for the race series itself. Simply register and participate in any of the race series events and you will be scored automatically! Awards are given for participation for 8 and 10 races completed; overall, masters, and grandmasters; and top 3 age group awards. This race is endorsed by The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and part of the 2019 Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge. The challenge encourages Michiganders to engage with events that promote physical activity, health and wellness. You will receive a FIT point for every endorsed event you participate in or volunteer for from January 1, 2019 until December 31st, 2019. Points earn cool swag and a chance to win various prizes!
