Diane Peppler Resource Center 5k

Diane Peppler Resource Center has partnered with Yooper Running Company to bring back our annual 5k! Come support survivors of domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, stalking and teen dating violence. The 5k race will begin at 9am on September 21, 2024. The race will begin and end in the parking lot of the Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours and the course will follow Portage Ave towards Rotary Park and back with views of the St Mary's River. Race Day Bib/Packet Pickup will begin at 7:30am in the parking lot of the Famous Soo Locks Boat Tour. Each participant will receive a medal created by Oaklawn Laser Works, post race refreshments, raffle prizes, and the chance to win age group awards.

July 1, 2024 - September 1, 2024: $25.00

September 2, 2024 - September 19, 2024: $30.00 

Age Groups and Overall Awards

Age group awards will be given out to 1st place in the following divisions: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Overall winner awards will be given to the Top Male and Female, and Top Master's (40+) Male and Female. Overall winners will receive one free ticket for a Famous Soo Locks Boat Tour.

Finish Line

Enjoy water, Gatorade, bananas, watermelon, bags of chips, and fruit snacks. Onsite and online results will be provided by Yooper Running Company.  Chip timing via Race Result Duo Transponders will be used for scoring and results with a common start/finish timing mat.  A results link will be sent closer to race day so you can view your results at the completion of the results.
