Sault Ste. Marie Riverfest 5k

Enjoy a 5K run or walk along the scenic Riverside Drive to celebrate the Sault Ste. Marie Riverfest on Saturday, August 16th.  The race will start/finish near the outhouse on the north side of the kid's fishing pond at Rotary Island Park.  The course will be flat, fast, and an out/back.  There will be an aid station with water near the halfway mark at the Charles T. Harvey Marina.  The course traverses Rotary Island before heading out to Riverside Drive and loops around the Charles T. Harvey Marina parking lot before to head back.  There will be an early packet pickup 1 day early on Friday from 4-7pm at Birds Eye Outfitters (107 E Portage Ave, SSM, MI 49783).  Race Day Packet pickup will be near the start/finish area on race morning from 7am-8:15am.  The race will begin at 9:00am. Early registration will be $15 per registrant through December 31.  After December 31, registration will increase to $20 per registrant through June 30.  Registration will be available for $25 in July and will increase to $30 in August.  Registration will officially close at 8:30am on race day. Finisher medals will be given to all participants.  Top male and female awards will be given along with the top male and female master's division (40+) and grandmaster's division (60+).  Yooper Running Company will be providing chip timing and results.  Age groups 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.  Age group awards include a custom riverfest coffee mug from Oaklawn Laser Works.
