Northland 5K for Food Allergy

Round up your family and friends and join ALEIA Project for the Northland 5K for Food Allergy! Race will begin at 8 AM at Leif Erikson Park in Duluth, MN. This is a chip-timed run/walk event. It is an out-and-back course and follows the Lakewalk toward Canal Park with the turn-around point just before the lighthouse. See course map below for further information. There will be awards for the top runners and prize drawings for everyone registered! T-shirts will be guaranteed to 5K participants who register by May 1st, 2024. 

Online registration will be open starting 2/9/24 at 12 PM and will close on 5/24/24 at 11:59 PM. In-person registration will also be available on race morning at Leif Erikson Park; however, t-shirts will not be guaranteed to those who register at this time.

Additionally, after the 5K, there will be a short Kids Fun Run. The run will be approximately 400 meters and run a circle around Leif Erikson Park.

Allergy-conscious food/beverages will be enjoyed after the event. Additionally, there will be lawn games, kids activities, allergy-aware business/product info and samples to take home, as well as representation from the Duluth Fire Fighters and EMT staff.

NEW THIS YEAR - VIRTUAL 5K!
For our friends who want to support the efforts of ALEIA Project, but are unable to join in-person, we have a virtual 5K opportunity. Run, walk, skip, rollerblade, bike, ski...just move your body and submit your time by May 29th, 2024. There will be NO bibs, t-shirts, or samples included in the Virtual 5K registration price. You are welcome to order a t-shirt as an add-on when you register; however, please note that t-shirts can only be picked up IN-PERSON at packet pickup or at the event on race morning. We are unable to mail t-shirts for virtual participants.

Please note: The Lakewalk will NOT be closed to the public on race morning. There is potential for congestion to occur on the trail at times. Please keep this in mind as you prepare for race morning. We ask that you please share the trail by being courteous and respectful to those using the trail for non-5K associated activities.

Parking:

Parking for the event is available at the Rose Garden, Lakewalk Surgery Center, and the St. Luke's Hospital Lakeview Parking Ramp, accessed off of Superior Street between 10th and 11th Aves East. There is also street parking near Leif Erikson Park. Please DO NOT park in the Super One Foods parking lot, as they need to reserve parking for customers. Packet Pickup:

Packet Pickup will be on Friday, May 24th at Austin Jarrow (1025 W Central Entrance, Duluth, MN) from 4-6pm. You may also pickup your packet on race morning at Leif Erikson Park. Packet pickup/t-shirt pick up is available in-person only.
