Lefse Run Date Changed Due to Weather
NEW DATE - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20th
Due to very cold (-8 F) and windy (10-20 mph) conditions forecasted for Saturday morning the Lefse Run will be rescueduled for next week. This decision was made in collaboration with Safe Haven & First Lutheran Church to ensure a safe experience for all runners, walkers, volunteers, and staff.
The run as well as all post-run festivities at the church will continue as planned, just one week later. We are sorry that some of you will not be able to make the run next week and hope you will join us again next year.

Get ready for the tastiest event of the season—it's the Lefse Run! Join Duluth Running Co. and our neighbors- First Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 20th for a morning of running, community, and LEFSE—all to support a great cause: Fundraising for Safe Haven!
This run is FREE! We suggest a donation to Safe Haven, which you can easily make when you sign up. When you do, you get in on the run and a piece of lefse when you finish.
Lace up your running shoes, bring your holiday spirit, and let’s make this a morning to remember!
Saturday, December 20th
8:30 - 9:00 AM: Check-in at Duluth Running Co.
9:00 - 10:00 AM: Fun Run on the Lakewalk to Canal Park & back (~3-mile casual run)
9:30 - 11:30 AM: Post-run lefse party at First Lutheran Church (right next door to Duluth Running Co.)
This run is FREE. We encourage all who sign up to make a donation to Safe Haven. All registration is online and through this site. There is no paper or in-person registration. If you need assistance, you can visit Duluth Running Co. and our staff can assist you is signing up for this event.
Sign-up will open on Monday, November 24th and remain open until 8:55 AM on Saturday, December 20th.
All participants will get a peice of lefse after the run.
3-peice packs of Lefse are available for purchase at First Lutheran Church after the run. Purchases are limited to provide opportunity for the whole community to buy some!
Safe Haven offers resources and support to survivors of domestic violence. They serve a seven-county area in northern Minnesota, including St. Louis, Koochiching, Aitkin, Lake, Carlton, Itasca and Cook counties. They provide emergency shelter for over 500 survivors and advocacy for more than 1,500 adults and children annually.
Their Mission: Provide safety, space to heal, advocacy, and empowerment for women, children, and all survivors of domestic violence.

Make Lefse & Make A Difference
First Lutheran Church and Duluth community members make hundreds of pounds of lefse every year and YOU can join the production team! Not only do you get to learn the art of lefse-making, but you will be supporting the fundraising efforts for Safe Haven Shelter & Resource Center.
Volunteer by opportunities are available beginning November 5th, and continue until December 11 at First Lutheran Church. Sign up and get ricing, mixing, rolling, and turning!
Our neighborhood grocer has joined in the fun!
SuperOne Foods has generously donated all of the required ingredients to keep everyone busy making lefse well into December. Thanks to them we have all the butter, cream, flour needed- not to mention hundreds of pounds of potatoes!
