Description

The Annual Harvest Classic is a charity run/walk to benefit the Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf.  The event features 5K and 10K routes with prizes for the winners. We'll also be giving out custom Harvest Classic T-shirts to registered participants. Come join the hundreds of other runners/walkers who have made this an exciting and wonderful event for the past 35 years! All proceeds are donated directly to Channel One, and all ability levels are welcome.

Race Day Details

Race Location:
The race start location is at Roy Sutherland playground shelter in Soldier’s Memorial Park in Rochester, MN. The start/finish line will be clearly marked to help you find us the morning of the race.
 
Race Course:
On race day, the course will be clearly marked with chalk on the ground and volunteers will be placed along the race to ensure you know where to go! There will be water stations at approximately 2.5 kilometers (on the 5k and 10k course) and 7 kilometers (on the 10k course). Strollers, young children, and pets on a leash are all welcome on the course.

 
 
Start time:
10k start: 9:00 am
5k start: 9:30 am
 
Packet pick up:
T-shirt and bib pick-up will be at the start line on race day from 7:30-9:00 am. Race day registration will be available ($35 for 5k and $45 for 10k).
 
Timing and results and awards:
Chip timing will not be available for this race. Timing will start at the start time and will end when you cross the finish line. Results will be posted on our RunSignUp website after the race. Prizes will be presented to the top male and female finishers for both races. Race photos will be posted to our Facebook page.
 
After the race:
Post-race snacks will be available after the race in the Roy Sutherland playground shelter for participants.
 
Parking on Race day:
You can park anywhere near Soldier’s Field. There is street parking along Soldier’s Field Dr. SW and parking in the Soldier’s Field golf course parking lot.
 
COVID-19 safety:
Please use your best judgment when deciding whether to wear a mask. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends fabric masks for the general public. People who haven’t been fully vaccinated should continue to wear face masks in indoor public places and outdoors where there is a high risk of COVID-19 transmission, such as crowded events or large gatherings. Please do not attend the event if you feel sick.
