Minnesota Eye Foundation (MEF) created Strides 4 Sight in 2014 to increase awareness and funding for the Vision Project, its community outreach program offering eye care services and surgical treatments to patients unable to otherwise afford care.
MEF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing lives by preserving and restoring vision, and relies heavily on volunteers and goodwill to finance its mission.

* Silent Auction will take place onsite & online to raise addiitonal funds for the Minnesota Eye Foundation's Vision Project.
Your Participation in S4S = Funds for Those in Need
By participating in Strides 4 Sight, your contribution will make a significant impact in delivering eye care and will benefit the Vision Project program, providing a variety of eye care surgeries- free of charge- to those desperately in need.
Kids Fun Run - 9 AM
This obstacle-type fun run is geared toward youth ages 1-12. Kids join in racing, jumping, running, skipping, and hopping through a variety of creative and colorful obstacles. Everyone who participates will receive a ribbon for being a part of this active morning!
Kids' Area activities will include yard games, face painting and tattoos. Family-friendly DJ music will be playing at the pavilion too. All kids who register will receive a goody bag, ribbon and unisex-sized t-shirt.
Registration Cost = $15 per child + processing fee between $1.90 - $3.10 will apply per transaction.
- Day of Event prices increase to $25 per child + processing fee noted above.
5K Walk/Run - 9:30 AM
The 5K Walk and Run is a perfect way to start your day AND support the Minnesota Eye Foundation. Whether you are a competitor or a casual stroller, this is a fantastic distance and site. This event will utilize the lakeside path near Como Park's Lakeside Pavilion. Runners will start ahead of the walkers. Strollers are allowed.
All participants registered before September 1 will receive a unisex-sized t-shirt. Note: T-shirts are subject to availability for Day of Race registrants.
Registration cost = $35 per participant aged 13 and older + processing fee between $1.90 - $3.10 will apply per transaction.
- Day of Event prices increase to $45 per person + processing fee noted above.

Silent Auction: Online & Onsite
The Strides 4 Sight Silent Auction is always a HUGE HIT with a fantastic array of items to bid on… many price points of a great variety of interesting things – tickets, sports gear, restaurant certificates and more!
