Description

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine will be holding its annual Hoof N Woof 5K race on Sunday October 1st, 2017 at Central Park in Roseville. Check-in is 8:00-8:45am and the race will begin at 9:00am. Registration for the race is $15 with or without a dog. **The first 150 people to register are guaranteed a Hoof N Woof t-shirt and goodie bag (the earlier you sign up the better chance you have of being given your chosen t-shirt size) so sign up now!**

The race is for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Pets are welcome, but should be kept on a leash. Please only bring dogs that get along with other dogs and people and that are up to date on their rabies vaccination. Friends and family can join in the fun! After the race, an awards ceremony will take place.

This year's Hoof N Woof will benefit People and Pets Together (PPT). People and Pets Together was founded in 2009 as one of the nation’s first animal surrender prevention programs. The organization’s mission is to prevent the surrender of beloved pets by people who lack the economic resources to care for them. Located in South Minneapolis, PPT operates as a pet food shelf and resource center, offering monthly food, supplies, and information on low-cost vaccinations and veterinary services to families in need. PPT was built by volunteers and continues to rely on volunteers to fill a unique niche in keeping families together.
