The Celebration of Children Run/Walk  has gone hybrid! This year we invite you to participate with us in-person on our flat and fast chip-timed course, OR virtually from your favorite neighborhood route! The in-person event will follow all local and state COVID-19 safety guidelines, and the course has been slightly expanded to 3.2 miles to allow us to socially distance at the start/finish line.

Challenge yourself to crush your fitness goals while supporting your community! Proceeds from this race will fund financial assistance for Shakopee residents to attend Community Education classes that promote academic, social, and personal growth.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor: Veil & Wild Orthodontics

Registration Includes:

  • Event t-shirt (youth, women's, and men's sizing available)
  • Awards for top three female and male finishers (in-person race only)
  • Race bib
  • Chip-timing (in-person race only)
  • NEW 10K distance option in addition to 5K option (virtual only)
  • Finisher Certificate (virtual only)

Please be aware of the following COVID-19 guidelines in place for this event:

  • Registration is online only, and will close on Sunday, May 30.
  • Register by Sunday, May 23, to guarantee your race shirt!
  • Race-day registration will not be offered this year to minimize contact.
  • Drive-up packet pick-up for in-person and virtual participants: Thursday June 3 and Friday June 4, from 4-6pm. Pick-up location will be announced closer to the race date.

  • Face coverings will be required at the start and finish line at the in-person event.
  • Participants are expected to maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others who do not live in their household.
  • Participants will be divided into waves of 25 people each to allow for social distancing, with each wave starting five minutes apart. Participants will be notified of their wave number and start time prior to race day.
