Course Map

The Race Starts and Finishes at the Winery!  This is a challenging 2 lap course that starts out through the southern vineyards, then takes a cross country path to the east, a dirt road north, then back to the northern vineyard and through some awesome scenic trails.  There will be some uneven areas and some short/steep inclines.

Parking

Parking will be at the Wild Mountain Resort and Water Park, 37200 Wild Mtn Rd, Taylors Falls, MN.
We will have a shuttle service operating from 7:00am - 2:00pm  to and from the remote parking area.
For groups, we recommend dropping your crew off at the winery to pick up race packets and have the driver shuttle in from the remote parking lot.
Dogs will be allowed on the shuttle service but please make sure they are on a leash.

Charity Partners

We are excited to announce that the local charity partner for this event will be The Almelund Fire Department!!

The Almelund Fire & Rescue Department serves 90 square miles and all or part of four townships (Amador, part of Sunrise, Chisago Lakes and Shafer).  They are a self-supporting service organization and a great benefit to our local area.

The department has trained firemen and first responders, all of whom are volunteers.

They serve a population of 3,000 residents with medical and fire protection.  Also within the service area is Wild Mountain and Wild River State Park, both which are located in Amador Township.

Wild River State Park includes 15 miles of the St. Croix National Scenic River which draws over 180,000 campers, hikers and boaters to this area each year.
Wild Mountain Ski & Water Slide Recreational Area attracts over 220,000 visitors year around.
Continued development in our area for housing along with scenic and recreational attractions require that our department be current and up-to-date with equipment and training.

Can I Participate Virtually?

Absolutely!  We have been getting many inquiries about virtual participation and have integrated a virtual option into our regular registration.

Please feel free to register through the regular registration link above and you can either:

1) Pick up packet during packet pickup or on the morning of the race, but run on your own (hint:  wine ticket is still good if you use this strategy)

2) Contact us at any time to switch to the Virtual Wine Run 5k and we'll ship your packet (There will be a shipping and handling charge for this option)

Also, if you intend on running, but later change your mind and would like to do either of these options, that's ok too!  If you are definitely going to have us ship your packet and run virtually though, we do recommend you follow the instructions below:

1). Go to runsignup.com/profile and log into your account.

2). Click on "Manage Registration" next to this race.

3). On the next page click on transfer to another race and choose the virtual wine run race.
