Location and Parking:
The Leap Frog 10k Relay starts and finishes at Pioneer Park: 2670 Wimbledon Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125. There is one large parking lot right in the park that should be able to accommodate all the racers.
Packet Pickup:
Pre-race day packet pickup is TBD; expect it to be one night the week before. We will have a day-of packet pickup starting at 7 AM. This will include your bib number, timing chip, and any event swag.
Race Schedule:
7:00 am - Race Check In & Day of Registration opens
8:00 am - Race Start!
9:15 am - Awards (time subject to change)
Aid Stations:
This race will have water at the start line with light snacks. If you need anything specific, please be sure to bring it yourself. Please bring your own water bottle as we try to limit cups, but we will have a water refill station.
There will be a bag drop area near the aid station for you to stash your items.
Timing and Results:
Timing will be gun time style. Runners will carry a baton with a timing chip inside then pass the baton to the next runner in the transition zone. Team will get a split time and a final time.
Awards and Prizes:
We will award overall male, female, and co-ed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team winners.
Race Rules and Guidelines:
Runners must be in a team of 2. Each runner will run 3 laps each for a total of 6 laps for about 6.2 miles. Each runner runs one lap at a time before passing the baton to his/her partner. While running you must carry the team’s assigned baton and pass the baton in the transition area only. The resting runner can catch their breath, get a drink, and a bite at your provided space.
Post-Race Celebration:
The post race celebration will start as soon as the runner crosses the finish line. Runners will cross the finish line to music and light snacks.
Spectator Information:
This is an amazing spectator race because the runners will always be coming back to the starting line. So you can see your runner at the Start, ½ mile and the finish. All from a spot at the finish line.
Safety Precautions:
Roads and paths are open to the public, be cautious and courteous when running. Roads will not be closed; there is a small section of road stay to the left when leaving the trail. No bikes allowed in the race. Please leave your pets at home.
Volunteers Needed:
If you volunteer at a race you can get one free entry to a race of your choice that can be used within one year. We are always in need of volunteers for our races as we literally cannot run them without you! Send us an email at hello@athenaclydesdaleracing.com to let us know you would like to volunteer with us.
