Aid Stations:
There will be no aid stations along the race course. This is a self supported race meaning you will need to bring your own water and nutrition with you. Thank you for being considerate and picking up any trash you leave on the trail. Please bring your own water bottle as we try to reduce the amount of cups used during the race. We will have a large water jug for water bottle refills and limited cups.
Please seek out a volunteer should you need basic first aid.
Timing and Results:
The Woodbury Wobble is a gun timed race using chips to record finish times not starting times. Each runner is required to wear a race bib. Please keep your race bib visible at all times especially as you cross through the finish line. Timing works on a group start rather than a rolling start. We will keep the official race time. Faster runners should start closer towards the start line while walkers start near the back of the flagged corral. This helps prevent bottlenecking and frustration as everyone settles into their own race pace. While on the race path, please be considerate of other racers by stating when you are passing and kindly moving to the right if your pace slows.
Results will be posted on our Runsignup page. We will have QR codes to scan for you to check your results as soon as you cross the finish line.
Awards and Prizes:
A pie will be awarded to each of the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers. A cookie will be awarded to the top runner in each age group. Ages groups are 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-60, 70+. Age group winners cannot be overall winners also
Race Rules and Guidelines:
The trail is open to the public, so please be kind to pedestrians. Keep your pets at home; the trail can get crowded. Your bib must be visible at all times. Be mindful at the crosswalk; we are not allowed to close roads to traffic, but do have a volunteer out there watching for traffic.
Post-Race Celebration:
The post race celebration will begin as soon as the first runner crosses the finish line. Runners will cross the finish line to music, light snacks, and the awards ceremony will start at 8:35am.
Volunteers:
The Woodbury Wobble does not happen without our incredible volunteers. Please make sure you thank them on race day. If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer on race morning, please choose your volunteer options here. There are volunteer options available even if you are racing!
Spectator Information:
The best place to spectate is at the starting and finishing line in Colby Lake Park. If you are quick you could make it down to Edgewater park on the south end of Colby Lake.
Safety Precautions:
We will try to have volunteers at all major turning points and road crossings. Roads will be open, so be mindful of cars. The path is open to the public; be courteous to pedestrians.
