Description

Welcome to the second virtual 5k Run/Walk for Kansas City Pig Rescue Network!  Kansas City Pig Rescue Network is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and permanent placement of pigs in Kansas and Missouri. Our mission is to Protect, Advocate and Educate, ensuring each pig finds their forever family.

100% of proceeds will go directly to Kansas City Pig Rescue Network
All participants will receive an exclusive KCPRN grocery tote, perfect for showing off your support for the pigs while shopping!  These are ONLY available as swag for participating in the event. Note, we need at least 12 participants in order to order totes - no refunds.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A GROCERY TOTE, YOU MUST SIGN UP BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4TH!

Ways to participate:
Option 1:  Virtually run, walk, skip, or hop from wherever you want with whomever you want on either October 19th or October 20th!   This is a great opportunity for those not in the local area to participate in one of KCPRN's events and support the rescue.  Walk your dog, play with your pets, take your kids to the park - anything counts!  Take a selfie and tag KCPRN @kcpigrescuenetwork on Instagram and Facebook to show off your hard work!  You do not need to complete an entire 5k in order to participate; we simply want to see you out and about and enjoying the weather before the cold winter hits.  Track your steps during the day and weekend; those count, too!

Option 2:  Get your 5k in by volunteering at Willeyville Farm on October 20th from 10:00-2:00pm.  Please note this will be hard work in preparation for Winter; poop scooping, mucking, hauling, cleaning, fence building and repair, etc. (don't worry, there will be pig snuggles, too!)  You WILL get dirty! **IN ORDER TO SELECT THIS OPTION, YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED A VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION AT WILLEYVILLE FARM**
