Description
Come help us remember our son, Zachary, who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 9 in 2015. We hold this race each year on the 2nd Saturday of September (childhood cancer awareness month). You can run, you can walk, or you can just donate and come hang out with u or just donate. We are a pretty laid back run. We run on the trails of the Harrisonville Mo Park and Rec in the Harrisonville City Park. Sign up early by August 24 and get a t-shirt. This year's theme is another one of Zach's favorite........the farm!! He absolutely loved the farm and combines, and tractors, and auger buggies and you name it. He loved playing in the trucks of soybeans and corn and jumping hay bales. If dad offered to let him drive, it was an immediate yes! If he wasn't on the farm he had our stairs covered in tractors, combines, trucks and trailers, barns, you name it. I have no doubt that if he would have gotten to still be with us he would be bugging dad for work and helping his brother, uncle and cousins on the quads in the shop. He was a daredevil and lived life full throttle. We would love to see you come remember him and raise money for Children's Mercy at the race.
We have committed to raise $25,000 in 5 years for Children's Mercy cancer patients, to try and ease the financial burden for families fighting for their child's life. We also get to name a room in the PICU after Zach. We are excited for this opportunity to give back and remember Zach in a meaningful way.
Thank you so much for being a part of it.
