The StG Gravel Classic presented by Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is back for the second year! After being voted one of the best gravel grinders in Missouri by the readers of Terrain Magazine, we've come back with a dustier and more epic event. This year we're adding a bigger pre-event packet pickup party, two new events, live music, and a few other surprises.
We've added two new events! To encourage the next generation of gravel grinders, we have added the Little Pebbles category, which features a 5.5 mile loop and is aimed at ages 8 through 15. We believe that gravel grinders shouldn't be limited to two wheels, so we've partnered with Big River Running and added a 5k walk/run.
Registration will be available online only and closes at 7:45 am on the morning of the event. Registered riders may pick up their numbers at packet pickup the evening before or on the morning of the event.
Packet pickup takes place at Taste of Ste. Genevieve County on Saturday evening, April 15th, from 6 PM to 9 PM. "Taste of Ste. Genevieve County" is hosted by the Friends Foundation of Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. All funds raised support the Women's Health Program and will be used to purchase a new ultrasound machine. Tickets start at $30, inviting participants to taste food and beverages from over 35 local restaurants, breweries and wineries. This event takes place at the Progress Sports Complex. You do not need to purchase a ticket to pick up your packet, but it's the perfect way to load up some much-needed calories for the ride the following day.
If you’re the competitive type: this ride will be chip timed so you can challenge yourself, your pals, or other participants in hopes of bringing home some fun prizes. The beauty of gravel cycling is that it is as competitive as each rider chooses. Categories will be created based on the rider's age and gender/non-gender information entered during registration.
Prizes will be awarded for the first 3 places in each distance for the Men/Women/Non-binary.
