The Pine Belt Pacers along with Fleet Feet and Southern Prohibition Brewing present the inaugural edition of the Downtown Dealers Dash poker run! This event will be a day of outdoor fun exploring the Longleaf Trace, starting from the SoPro Taproom in Downtown Hattiesburg, and visiting up to six different stops along the way to collect poker cards and make the best hand. Your entry into the event does not cover food and drink, but we encourage you to bring some cash and look for special menu items along the way! Entry does include a list of participating stops, a lanyard to hold the cards you collect along the way, and the first 30 entries will include a nice Dealers Dash (one size fits most) hat! This is not a race! The overall winner will be the one with the best poker hand at the end of the day. The event will take place from 2:00-6:00 PM with door prizes, and the grand prize being announced at 6:30. The afterparty at SoPro will be one you don't want to miss! You must be 21 to win!! Packet pickup will be available Friday March 7 from 5-7 PM and Saturday March 8 from 11AM-2PM at Southern Prohibition. 

RULES

• Route:
  • There is no official route! Visit as many or as few locations as you like, as long as you are walking, running, or cycling!
  • This event will start and end at the Southern Prohibition Taproom.
  • We suggest utilizing the Longleaf Trace as much as possible.
  • Checkpoints: 
    • The Pullman, 2205 W. 4th St.
    • Glory Bound, 6174 US 49
    • Keg and Barrel, 1315 Hardy St.
    • The Porter, 201 W. Pine St.
    • The Lucky Rabbit 217 Mobile Street
    • Southern Prohibition, 301 Mobile Street 
• Drawing cards:
  • At each checkpoint, you will draw a card from the top of a deck of playing cards.
  • If you draw a duplicate of a card you already have, you must re-draw!
• Building a hand:
  • Participants build their poker hand by drawing cards at each checkpoint.
  • You may collect cards from each location, but only five may be used to build your hand.
  • You are not required to visit all locations, but it sure helps your chances!
• Winning hand:
  • The participant with the best poker hand at the end of the run wins.
  • There will be other prizes for different hands, as well as random door prizes! 
  • The winner is determined by traditional poker hand rankings, such as "two pairs" or "straight flush".  
• Ties:
  • If there is a tie, the winner will be deterred by one poker hand.
  • Each participant will be dealt five cards, best hand wins.
• No duplicate cards:
  • Participants cannot use duplicate cards.
  • If they draw an identical card, they must draw an additional card.  
• Joker card:
  • The Joker card is wild.  
• Suit ranking:
  • There is no ranking between suits. For example, the king of hearts and the king of spades are equal.  
• Time limit:
  • The event has a time limit, but participants are not timed individually.  
• Transportation: 
  • This event must be completed on foot or bicycle! 
  • Please no motor vehicles, and no golf carts.
