Christmas in July 5K Walk/Run

 Christmas will be here before you know it.  Come out to the THIRD annual Christmas in July 5k to sponsor the Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child.  Operation Christmas Child uses gift-filled shoe boxes to demonstrate God's love in a  tangible way to children in need all around the world.   The race will begin at 7:30am at 2411 Badin Road Drive-In Albemarle.  We ask all participants please bring an item to go in a shoe box for a child in need.  Registration is $25 per.  This race is for all ages. Awards will be passed out to Top 10 male and Top 10 female finishers.  Our goal is to raise 200 shoe boxes this year.   Pre-register by July 8, 2020 to guarantee a Santa shirt. Race Swag bags for the FIRST 50 to register. There will be a contest for most festive dressed and for the participant that brings the most supplies.  

We will have plenty of door prizes, including Cold Brew Coffee by Wandering Bear Coffee.   We will also have Christmas in July 5K Hats, Masks and more.

This year's race will be chip timed by Clockwork Race Timing out of Raleigh, NC.  We will socially distance at the start of the race.  Results will be based on chip time rather than gun time.
