The Dream Mile (10K, 5K, 1 Mile)

Vibha's Vision: High-Quality Public Education for Every Child. Vibha is excited to bring The Dream Mile at Bond Park! There's ONE COURSE but THREE RACES for you to choose from to challenge yourself for how far you can go before the course closes. BUT you only have 90 minutes to complete the distance of your choice so challenge yourself but pick what you think you can accomplish! IN-PERSON 1 Mile, 5K and 10K, race optionsTshirt, finishers medal for 5k and 10K registrants and in-person prizes for multiple categories.

Fri Sep 27th - PACKET PICK-UP DETAILS for 5K/10K Participants

Packet Pickup Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park - Kiwanis Shelter Lot, Bond Park Drive Cary, NC 27513

Packet Pickup Date: Friday, September 27th between 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Sat Sep 28th - RACE DAY DETAILS (5K/ 10K)

Race Day: Saturday, September 28th, 2024 

Race Check-In Time: 8am - 8:45am  (Please allow ample time to park, walk to Kiwanis shelter to check in for the race, and then a short walk to the start line near the boathouse)
Race Check-In Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park - Kiwanis Shelter Lot, Bond Park Drive Cary, NC 27513

1Mile Race Start Time: 8:45am

5K/10K Race Start Time: 9:15am 

Race Start Line Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park - Boathouse Parking Lot - 197 Bond Park Dr, Cary, NC 27513

5K Course: Start line is near Boathouse, passing along the Sertoma Amphitheater towards White Oak Creek Greenway, take turn on Crabtree Creek Greenway and return to White Oak Creek Greenway until MacArthur Drive and reverse back to Boathouse (pic attached)

10K Course: Repeat 5K course route twice - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2714842 

Activities Schedule - 

8:00am - 8:30am: Registration/Check In at Kiwanis Shelter

8:15am - 8:40am: 1 Mile Participants Walk Over & line up at Boathouse Start Line

8:45am: 1Mile Race starts

8:45am - 9:10am: 5K/10K Participants Walk Over & Line up at Boathouse Start Line

9:15am: 5K/10K Timed Race starts

9:15am onwards: 1 Mile - Post- race snacks at Kiwanis Shelter

9:45am onwards: 5K/10K  Post-race snacks at Sertoma Amphitheater

11:00am: Award Ceremony at Sertoma Amphitheater

Parking & Other Information

- Parking available on a first come first served basis at Kiwanis Shelter, Boathouse, Boathouse overflow parking Fields 1-4

- No pets or strollers are allowed on either course.
