Description
What's your ideal race? Is it a super-challenging 10K that starts up a 10% grade, climbs 150 feet, loops back down to the start, and repeats it, three times!?!? Or is it a gorgeous, pancake-flat 5K along a greenway and wide paths, through an idyllic pastoral landscape?
We've concocted an event that achieves both ideals. If you're a glutton for punishment, sign up for the toughest road 10K within 50 miles. If you like your races flat and scenic, you'll want to run the beautiful 5K course. (If you're running the ROC series, make sure you sign up for the 5K). Both races are equally beautiful, but one runs up the side of a hill while the other runs through flat meadows.

The Courses
These are two of the most beautiful races you'll ever run, but while the 10K will be one of the most challenging, the 5K will be one of the most pleasant. The 10K is entirely on paved roads and greenways, while the 5K is half on paved greenways and half on wide, unpaved paths.
10K runners repeat the same hilly loop three times, running through the finish line each time. 5K runners run their loop just once.
