THE RACE

Earth Day is Every Day 5K/10K & Earth Day Festival!

The race kicks off Earth Day festivities at Festival Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Start your Earth Day with a 5K or 10K trail race primarily on Linear Park Trail and The Cape Fear River Trail.

The festival portion of the event is free to the public and will include an Electric Vehicle car show & test rides, a Cornhole tournament, food trucks & beer/wine vendors, local vendors with sustainable goods, family activities and lots of sustainable information to share.

RACE SHIRT
Participants who register by April 1, 2025, and attend pre-race packet pickup or at the event, will receive an Earth Day is Every Day shirt. All other participants can choose from remaining sizes until shirts are gone.

THE COURSE

This is a new course in Fayetteville! The course starts and finishes at Festival Park. The course then takes participants on the Linear Park Trail and the Cape Fear River Trail. The trail race is an out-and-back course with beautiful outdoor scenery with gentle rolling hills.

THE CAUSE

Sustainable Sandhills is a local community based nonprofit, focused on strengthening communities in the Sandhills of North Carolina by creating resilient environmental, economic, and social resources for current and future generations. We are dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility in our region through education, demonstration, and action.

Everyone needs natural resources such as reliable energy, clean air and water, healthy food today tomorrow and forever. That concept is at the heart of sustainability. We believe that empowering individuals and communities with knowledge and resources is essential for creating lasting change. Together we will make a change!
