Description

Get out your calendars and lace up your shoes! The 11th Fleet Feet Pickle is slated to take place on July 20th, 2024. Grab your friends and fellow runners for this destination relay fun run between our Fleet Feet locations. Join us after for a fun gathering at our High Point store. And new for this year, we are including our new Burlington location in the festivities. We are going to do a new event on July 25 called the Little Gherkin. If you complete both The Pickle and The Little Gherkin, you are considered a Big Dill!

The relay course takes runners along the Greenway from Greensboro to High Point in a 16.1 mile route. This will be a relay in which 3 hand off locations will be set. Teams can be comprised of 4 members, 2 members or 1 brave participant! There will be a shuttle back for solo runners. For The Little Gherkin, we will complete a 5-mile out and back route on the running/bike path along University Dr.

Pickle Run: For your $40 donation (per person) you will a get a Chiknlegs Pickle Singlet($35 value) and a Pickle medal.

Little Gherkin: For your $25 donation, you will receive a race shirt.

Big Dill: For those of you who decide to complete both races, your donation is $60 and you will receive the coveted Big Dill Charm to place on those wonderful medals.

All proceeds from this fun run will go to the Go Far-Fleet Feet Lace Up Program. Funds from this program are used to provide children at schools throughout Greensboro and High Point with new shoes in order to safely and comfortably participate in the Go Far 5K training program/race.

The Little Gherkin

This is an out and back 5 mile fun run on the running/bike path along University Drive in Burlington. The run will begin and end at Fleet Feet Burlington.

The Pickle began as a fun event for our running community that included both the Greensboro and High Point stores. The "pickle" was going to be to decide halfway whether you wanted to continue running to the other store or turn around. However, this made logistics very difficult, so we decided to alternate start/finish locations. Now, we run from Greensboro and finish in High Point. And for 2025, we are adding The Little Gherkin at our Burlington location.

Come up with fun relay names, dress is your favorite pickle attire and get the whole family involved. We'll see you in July!

Relay Details

Relay Options.
Run the whole things solo. Yeah, that makes it not really a relay but ya know, it is an option.

4 person relay.
3 person relay.
2 person relay.

Transportation.
If you are running as a relay, we ask that your relay team provide transportation to the handoff points. If you are running solo and need a ride from the finish back to the start, please indicate this in the registration questions.

Transportation

This is a point to point event.
If you drive your vehicle to the start you will not have it at the finish.

We recommend having friends or family or relay team members meet you at the finish to celebrate and then to transport you back to your home or vehicle (depending on how you got to the start.) Don't have anyone to drive you? We've got your back. We have a volunteer led shuttle that will be making runs back to the Greensboro Fleet Feet. Estimated deparature times from High Point are 930AM, 1030AM, 1130AM. Please indicate if you need a ride on the registration page.
