🎄🏃♂️ Merry Fitness 5K – Run Through Christmas Town! 🏃♀️🎄
Lace up and join us for the Merry Fitness 5K on Saturday, December 13th at 8:00 AM at ELJ Farms! This festive race is the perfect way to celebrate the season, support our Marathon Kids runners, and start a new holiday tradition with our community. You’ll dash through a magical Christmas Town course, surrounded by lights, cheer, and plenty of holiday spirit.
💙 Run for a Cause: Proceeds from this race provide scholarship opportunities for Onslow County students to participate in Marathon Kids — giving more children the chance to discover the joy of running, set big goals, and build healthy habits for life.
📦 Packet Pick-Up:
- Thursday, Dec. 11th: 4:30–6:30 PM at the New River YMCA, 1940 Gum Branch Road
- Friday, Dec. 12th: 5:30–7:30 PM at Eggs Up Grill, 2457 Gum Branch Road
- Race Day (Dec. 13th): 7:00–7:30 AM ONLY at ELJ Farms
(We highly recommend picking up your packet Thursday or Friday to avoid race day delays!)
👕 Add-On Merchandise:
- Race Shirts: $15 each — must be purchased by November 26th
- YMCA Christmas Beanies: $6 each — must be purchased by November 26th
🏃♀️ For Marathon Kids Participants: You do not need to register individually — your registration will be handled through your team.
✨ Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a first-time 5K’er, or just in it for the jingle bells and cocoa, this race is all about community, holiday joy, and making memories. Let’s run, cheer, and celebrate together!

REFUND POLICY
The race will go on rain or shine!
In the event of inclement weather the following procedures will be followed:
The event will be postponed in hopes the inclement weather will pass. If the inclement does not pass in time to complete the event safely, the event will be canceled.
Inclement weather includes:
- Severe winds over 35 miles per hour
- Lightning, as shown on a lightning detector, is within 10 miles of the event
Every effort will be made to hold this event on time on this date. Should this event be canceled due to an Act of God or other circumstance beyond the race director's control there will be no refunds, credits, or transfers.
NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy.
