THE RACE

The 7th Annual Coastal Carolina Memorial 5K and Kid's Fun Run will be in memory of the crew of Tiger 43, Captain Jack Casey, Captain Benjamin Moulton, Captain Miguel Nava, Sergeant Alec Langen, and Lance Corporal Donovan Davis. The crew were members of the HMH-361 Flying Tigers from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. 

The missions of The Wingman Foundation are to support families in the immediate aftermath of the mishap and continuing to remember those air warriors we have lost to Navy and Marine Corps aviation mishaps.

The event features a Friday evening packet pickup at Carolina Ale House, a 5K and 1 Mile fun run on Saturday, and a brunch following the races at Mission BBQ.

SHIRTS:
Participants who register by March 14, 2025 get a race shirt. The race will order a few extras. If you register after March 14th, you can choose from remaining inventory.

FINISHER MEDAL: 
All finishers receive a medal at the finish line.

The Wingman Foundation Coastal Carolina Memorial Race course is a single loop around the Jacksonville Commons neighborhood. There will be signs, volunteers, and bikers leading the way.

This race is Stroller Friendly, Wheelchair Friendly and Dog Friendly

THE CAUSE

In the immediate aftermath of a military aviation mishap, The Wingman Foundation (TWF) steps in to provide the necessary assistance to the affected service members and their families.

TWF makes funds available to help with family expenses such as funeral, travel, and lodging costs. Since its founding in late 2014, TWF has been able to support every single Class A (fatal) mishap in the Navy and Marine Corps in some way.

The support does not stop there. Any additional funds can be used by the family or squadron even many years afterward to continue honoring their Sailor's or Marine's legacy.
