Description
The 2nd annual Strides for Stroke 5k presented by Carolinas Healthcare System is set for April 23, 2016. We are excited to be a part of the Run Kannapolis 5K Race Series!
No matter how young or old, fast or slow, this is an event for everyone!
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by stroke. Help us bring awareness and support our local stroke survivors and their families. We are proud to be one of the largest Stroke Support Groups in North Carolina. All proceeds from this event will benefit our Cabarrus Stroke Support Group. Bring your family and join us for a morning of fitness and fun!
Our timeline of events include:
Early Packet Pick up- Friday, April 22nd 3:00-6:00 at Academy Sports in Kannapolis
Saturday April 23rd
Registration and Packet Pick up- 7:00am
Kick Off- 8:00am
Survivor's Lap- 8:15am -This lap is for stroke survivors and their families.
Doctor's Dash- 8:45am- Come cheer on your favorite doctor as they compete in a 100 yd. dash!
Kid's Fun Run- 9:00am- All children participating will receive an award.
5k Race: 9:30
Entry Fee:
Fun Run- $10.00
5k Race- $20.00
Discounts for groups of 10 or more.
Any participants registering after April 13th will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
