Spartan Sprint Fun Run and 5K

The Spartan Sprint Fun Run and 5K at James Sprunt Community College is a fantastic community event aimed at bringing people together in a fun and welcoming environment. This event is open to runners and non-runners of all ages, making it an excellent opportunity for families to enjoy a day filled with exciting activities. In addition to the fun and festivities, the proceeds from the event go towards the Presidential Scholarship fund. This scholarship provides Duplin County high school students with the chance to attend JSCC tuition-free for up to two years, helping to support their educational journey.

Registration Dates/Fees:

5K Race:

• $25 through February 23rd (guarantees t-shirt)
• $30 beginning February 24th (no t-shirt)

Fun Run:

• $15 through February 23rd (guarantees t-shirt)
• $20 beginning February 24th (no t-shirt)

T-shirts guaranteed with pre-registration by Sunday, February 23rd.

5K Awards/Categories:

• Top 3 Overall Male
• Top 3 Overall Female
• Top Male and Female in the following age groups:  13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Course Details:

The 5K course for the Spartan Sprint Fun Run and 5K begins and ends at James Sprunt Community College. It is a flat course, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced runners. The route heads towards the Duplin Event Center, then continues on towards downtown Kenansville, offering an enjoyable run through the local area. With its relatively easy terrain, it provides an accessible and exciting challenge for participants of all ages and fitness levels.

It is not a USATF certified course.
