Description
This is our 6th Annual No Excuse for Abuse 5K event. We hope that experienced and inexperienced runners alike will come out to support New HOPE of McDowell!
Our race begins and ends at the McDowell County Courthouse Lawn and takes participants through beautiful downtown Marion. The course is completely paved, which means that baby strollers are welcome! As a part of their registration fee, participants receive a Race Packet, filled with coupons, samples, and items from local businesses, a Race T-Shirt, as well as professional timing services provided by Finish Line Pros. After the race, cold water, fresh fruit, and cookies are provided for participants to enjoy.
Participants also have a chance to win prizes from our random drawing as well as medals that recognize the top three participants in several age categories. We also have prizes for the top three males and females overall!
