Join Us for Luck Stone's First Annual Run the Rock at Mount Airy!
Luck Stone’s Run the Rock isn’t your average trail race – it's an adrenaline-pumping, one-of-a-kind journey through an active rock quarry that few ever get to experience! Since opening our gates to the racing community in 2023, we've welcomed over 900 runners to our Rockville and Greene Virginia sites – and we're gearing up to do it all over again in North Carolina!
Join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025, for our inaugural Run the Rock 5K at the Luck Stone Mount Airy benefiting the Reeves Community Center Foundation. Small-town charm, big-time fun!
At Luck Stone, stone is just the start of our commitment to our customers and communities. As a family-owned and operated company celebrating over 100 years in business, we recognize that our opportunity to make a positive impact is all around us. Race Day Schedule
- 7:30 am to 8:30 am: Event Check-In for Race Participants
- 9:00 am: Race Starts

Event Parking
- Parking will take time. Please make sure to park no later than 8:30 a.m. to allow time to check in for the race.
- Parking will be available on-site. Volunteers will be available to direct traffic, directing participants to check in and the start of the race.
- If handicapped parking is needed, please ask a volunteer and they will direct you to a dedicated parking area.
Event Check-In
- Race check-in will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
- The volunteers will direct you from the parking lot to the check-in tent. Look for the "Check In" Flag.
- Late participants will not be allowed to enter the course after the race starts at 9:00 a.m.
- For identification and emergency purposes, along with ensuring the accuracy of results, participants will not be allowed to check-in under another name. Once your bib is assigned, it cannot be transferred to another participant.
Additional Event Information
- Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.
- For day-of support, look for volunteers wearing high-visibility yellow t-shirts.
- No coolers or alcohol will be allowed.
- Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed on the course.
- Runners are encouraged to wear trail running shoes on this course as this is a gravel course.
Benefitting Reeves Community Center Foundation
Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re passionate about making a positive impact on the places where we live, work, and run. Your contribution will directly support scholarship assistance for programs for underserved youth and disabled adults to ensure that cost is not a barrier for anyone to participate in a recreational program.

Cash or card will be accepted. Winners must be in person to win. Raffle prizes will be announced at 11:00 am.
