Azalea Sun Run Presented by Harris Teeter

Join us at the beach!
The Azalea Festival is excited to host the Azalea Sun Run on Wrightsville Beach. The event includes a 5K and 1 Mile on the beach. You can walk or run either event. This is a great way to stick to those New Year Fitness Goals and get ready for the Azalea Festival!

After Sun Run Fun Party @ Oceanic!
Immediately following the Sun Run, the Oceanic Restaurant is hosting the After Sun Run Fun event for participants and their families. Participants receive a special discount.

STUFF YOU GET

RACE SHIRT
Register by January 17, 2023 and get a Sun Run shirt. (long sleeve sport tek shirt) The race is ordering a limited number of extra shirts. Extra shirts are available until inventory runs out.

AFTER THE SUN RUN FUN
Immediately following the Azalea Sun Run, the Oceanic Restaurant is hosting the After Sun Run Fun for all participants and their families. All participants receive a special discount.

THE COURSE

Oceanic Pier

Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480

The Azalea Sun Run takes place on the beach in Wrightsville Beach. Run along the hard-packed sand, or a leisurely stroll along the shore.

5K participants will line up near the Oceanic Pier, head out for 1.5 miles and turn around. There is also a 1 Mile.

The North Carolina Azalea Festival is held every Spring in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Our mission is to stimulate the economy and promote volunteerism.

We help create an estimated $51 million dollars annually in economic stimulus.

We have over 1,000 volunteers who help plan, manage, and orchestrate around 50 Azalea Festival events each year.
