North Carolina Azalea Festival Seahawk Sun Run
Presented by UNCW Homecoming

Join Us At the Park!

The Azalea Festival is excited to host the Seahawk Sun Run at Long Leaf Park.  The event includes a 5K and 1.5 Mile.  You can walk or run either event.  

The Festival is happy to be partnering with the UNCW Alumni Association to provide a brand-new Homecoming event for alumni and the Wilmington community!

RACE SHIRT
Register by January 29, 2024 and get a Seahawk Sun Run shirt. The race is ordering a limited number of extra shirts. Extra shirts are available until inventory runs out.

THE COURSE

Long Leaf Park - Shelter 6
314 Pine Grove Drive
Wilmington, NC 28409

The Seahawk Sun Run takes place at the popular Long Leaf Park in Wilmington, NC.

The course is a double loop for 5K participants, and 1 loop for 1.5 mile participants.

This race course is stroller and wheelchair friendly! And there is plenty to do at the park for younger participants after the race.

UNCW & paws4people

100% of the proceeds from UNCW Alumni registrations will go to The North Carolina Azalea Fellowship in Volunteerism and Civic Engagement at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

50% of the proceeds from the Run with Your Dog registrations will go to paws4people. This local non-profit trains and places Assistance Dogs in assisting users to transform their lives for a better tomorrow. paws4people believes every person is deserving of priceless and well-deserved independence.
