Description
The eventh annual LeeWok Adventure Race is a 5K and 10K race will be held out at Black Butte on Saturday, September 7th, at 8:30am. Come join us for an amazing morning, and grab a costume! Costumes are encouraged and our volunteers will be voting on the best costume with the winner getting a prize.
The race will take place at Black Butte Adventures 121st Avenue SE Sawyer, ND 58781, where there is a well kept one track trail up the Butte.
This race presents a 5k or 10k option on a trail that winds through some of ND’s beautiful terrain. You will experience some hills, rocks, and wildlife along this peaceful trail. This event is open to all levels and is simple enough to relax and enjoy but challenging enough to be an adventure with some moderately difficult terrain. Grab a friend and join us for a great nature run with some beautiful ND scenery.
LeeWok Adventure race is a moderately difficult trail run, meant for people that have already run a 5K.
Packet Pickup:
You can pick your packet up the morning of the event at the registration table from 7:30-8:15 am.
Directions: The race is located at Black Butte Adventures, 121st Ave SE, Sawyer, ND. If you are not familiar with this area, please allow yourself extra time to get out to the location.
There is more than one way to get out there but here are two:

2) Drive a bit past Sawyer on 52 and take a left turn onto 20th Ave N. You will J&H Ranch by the turn. Then follow the road and the curve to the right. Next turn left onto 19th Ave N and then another left onto 48th St N.
Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 fastest male and female in both the 5K and 10K races. A prize will also be awarded to the best costume worn during the run!
Weather: In the event of inclement weather, Race Management has the right to change, eliminate parts of the course, or delay up to a point. However, if it is deemed too dangerous to race, the event will be canceled and there will be no refunds. We will do everything in our power to have the event, but your safety is of our utmost concern.
All proceeds benefit OpenMIND - a budding, local, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization we created devoted to bringing awareness to mental health and suicide in our community.
