Location: Cedar Bluff, directly East of Jeffrey Lake, Nebraska
Set up Time: 1:30

Start Time: 3:00 PM (sharp!)
End Time: 9:00 PM
Course: 1.5-mile loop trail
Teams: 4 to 8 runners
Goal: Complete as many loops as possible from 3:00 to 9:00

THE WHAT…

Welcome to the Sunset Showdown Relay — a one-of-a-kind team race under the sun and then under the stars on the newly constructed Cedar Bluff trail. With a 1.5-mile loop as your playground and 6 hours on the clock, your team will run through the night while enjoying food, music, Friends, cornhole, and campfire vibes.

Form a team of 4 to 8 runners and create your own relay strategy. Whether you're in it to win or just want to soak in the experience, this is your night to run wild.

While one teammate is running, the others can relax at Base Camp area— the location where you set up your teams tailgate like area and where the food and beverage will be served.  Other things in this area:

Music
Food & water stations
Medical tent, restrooms, Campfire area,
Runner hand-off zone

Bring your own tents, chairs, canopies, or cots and settle in. Make it a day to remember!

THE WHY…

The Brady Cross Country team wants to create a race that the community of Brady to come together to support, having fun while supporting our School is important, but we also would like to raise money to supporting athletics in Brady!  

RULES

There are only two rules:

Every runner on your team must complete at least one lap (1.5 miles).
To count your final lap, you must finish before 10:00
That's it! The rest is up to your team—plan your own schedule, lap counts, and runner order.

 
WHAT TO BRING

Required:

Flashlight
Headlamp & reflective running gear (mandatory for safety)
Emergency contact info
Running clothes (shirt, pants)
Running shoes
Rain gear (just in case)

Warm Clothing

Optional (but encouraged):

Snacks, hydration, warm layers
Fun attitude & team spirit!
⚠️ Note: No BBQs, camp stoves, or open flames allowed. There will be a gas campfire at Base Camp.

Each Registered team will be sent the directions to Cedar Bluff prior to race day!
