Rules
RACE RULES
The course will go over mostly paved roads, with a small section at the turnaround which is sand/dirt/gravel. We suggest that as an athlete, you train for this event because of the distance and conditions.
CHECK-IN ON RACE DAY
Check-in tables will be set up at the Brigantine Community Center on 42nd Street. All participants must be checked in by 5:45 PM (15 mins prior to the race). Participants in the 5K Run will receive their bibs and timing chips at this time. Participants must be pre-registered/paid online prior to checking-in; online registration closes at 5PM!
TIMING CHIPS*
(*Run only) Timing chips will be part of your bib. Please make sure to pick up and wear your bib for accurate times and finisher place.
SEVERE WEATHER PLAN
This event is "rain or shine," meaning that the race will be held even in inclement weather. However, Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel this event if conditions are determined to be unsafe for participants. This includes but is not limited to severe thunderstorms with lightening, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc., or any other conditions as dictated by local authorities. An email, text, and/or social media broadcast will be sent out advising if a cancellation will occur. While no refund will be given, participants will receive a discount coupon to participate in a future Green Whales Racing, Inc. event.

Prizes
The first male and the first female finisher will receive Cherry Blossom Tree to be planted at the place of their choice by Brigantine Green Team volunteers.
The 2nd and 3rd place make and female finisher will receive a basket of goodies donated by local Brigantine businesses.
