Williamstown Badgers Turkey Trot 5K

Turkey Trot 5K at Autumn Lake Winery, produced by the Williamstown Badgers.

This is a no frills race so there are no race shirts so we can maximize the donation to our charity partner, Operation Safe Haven.  

Start your Thanksgiving by burning off some calories to make up for what you will be eating later in the day!  We are very excited to host the Badgers Turkey Trot 5K at the Autumn Lake Winery.  Awards will be given to the top 3 overall female and male finishers.  Kids 14 and under are free with entry of an adult.  Bring the family and have a fun morning together.  This is a trail run consisting of hard pack dirt trails, grassy areas, and sand.  This is a rain or shine event.  If there is rain prior to or on race day the course may include muddy areas so plan accordingly.  

The race will be professionally timed by JLD Event Management and Timing (JLDEvents.com) and results will be available online.

The Autumn Lake Winery will be open in the morning (for bottle sales only) so stop by and grab some bottles for your Thanksgiving dinner.

All of the profit from the race will be donated to Operation Safe Haven, a tiny house community for veterans located in Franklinville, New Jersey.  Working with Federal, State and local agencies, Operation Safe Haven provides veterans with fully furnished 300 square foot micro-houses nestled in the quiet surroundings of a 277 acre campground with a 65 acre lake where they can focus on getting "squared away" through various programs designed to give them the tools needed to adapt and overcome the struggles of PTSD.  Operation Safe Haven is a non-profit funded solely through donations and all services are provided by volunteers.  Their promise is to provide these houses and services at no cost to the veterans. We will also be collecting donations on race day (Wawa and/or Shoprite gift cards recommended).
