YWCA PRINCETON'S FIRECRACKER 5K Run/Walk

Join us for our 21st Annual Firecracker 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, June 8th, 2025. This year's race will take place at Veteran's Park located at 2206 Kuser Rd Hamilton Township, NJ 08690. Proceeds from the race benefit the Pearl Bates Scholarship Fund. This fund helps children and families access childcare and summer programs at the YWCA Princeton. The YWCA Princeton's mission is to eliminate racism and empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Our programs are designed to address the byproducts of inequity: affordability and accessibility. 

Run or walk a 5K trail through the beautiful Veteran's Park, kids under 9 years-old can enjoy a 50 or 100-yard dash, lawn games, and prizes. A fun summer event complete with a DJ and light refreshments! A trophy and a certificate will be awarded to the Overall Top Female & Male Finishers. Certificates and medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd female and male finishers of each age group. All participants in the Kids Fun Race will receive small prizes as well. Come out to support a great cause at this fun family event!

Participant t-shirts cannot be guaranteed if registered after the May 25th. Distribution will be at the Firecracker 5K location only. T-shirts will not be mailed. 

• Registration fee before June 8th: $40/participant.
• Registration fee on race day, June 8th: $45/participant.
• Registration for Fun Run will also increase to $8/participant on race day.
• We welcome runners at least 5 years of age for the 5K Walk/Run. However, we encourage those unable to complete a 5K to register for the Kid's Fun Run for participants under 9 years old.
• Registration begins at 7:00 AM and the 5K begins at 8:00 AM. Fun Run begins at 9:30AM.
• Run is rain or shine, and only in the event of emergency weather the run will be cancelled.
