Hello everyone,

The weather looks great, and with possibly over one thousand finishers in all events this Sunday, it should be an amazing experience for all.
Here are some final instructions:
1- Sunday's Schedule

8:45am - 5k
9:30am - 10 Miler
11:00am - Kids Fun Run
2- Packet Pickup
Friday: 4pm-8pm @ Road Runner Sports (North Brunswick)
Saturday: 10am-2pm @ Road Runner Sports (North Brunswick
Sunday: Pickup opens at 7am
3- Parking
Please see the parking diagram. If you're running just the 5k, you have two options to exit the race.
Option One: if your car is inside the park, you may exit Colonial Park via Colonial Drive through the Elizabeth Road entrance from 9:50am-10:00am. After 10am, we close down the lots and park for the ten mile finishers.
Option Two: if you're parked in a lot along Mettlers Lane, you may leave via Mettlers Lane toward Amwell Road after 10:30am. All 10 milers will have passed through by then, so Mettlers will then be clear to drive down by then.
There will be volunteers at every parking lot ensuring for the most efficient and safest experience for all runners.
4- Medals
10M Finisher's Medals: Available upon crossing finish line
AG Awards (5 year AG): Available after 5k and 10M
Challenger Medals (finishing both 5k and 10M): Check-in with awards table after you finish
5- Tracksmith Last Mile Prediction Contest
First - $100, Second - $75, Third - $50, Fourth - $25, Fifth - $20
The last mile is a rewarding gentle downhill through Colonial Park.
Guess your last mile here down to the tenth of a second (5:25.3) and be eligible for a top-five Tracksmith prize. Look for the timing mat at mile 9 and crush it. This will take a few days to calculate, so winners should look for an email sometime next week.
6- Tracksmith Overall and AG Awards (10 year AGs)
AG: First $70, Second $35, Third $20
Overall: First $250, Second $150, Third $100
Winners will be contacted via email for these awards
7- Pictures and videos
We will have both a talented photographer and a talented videographer out there on Sunday. We will make their content available as soon as we can.
8- Proceeds
This year, we are offering $4,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors at Franklin HS involved in either ROTC, Franklin Fit, or both. We're thrilled to be supporting the community that has supported us since 2017!
9- Pork Roll or Taylor Ham?
We aren't injecting our opinion here, but we'd love to hear yours. Please tag us on social media @gardenstate10!
10- Empire State HM
We are offering a 50% off discount, until Sunday night at 11:59pm, for all GS10 runners who register for our partner event, the Empire State Half Marathon, on 10/1 in Rockland State Park. That coupon code is gardenstatetenmiler , and again, it expires 3/26/23 at 11:59pm.
11- Mettlers & Colonial Drive Intersection
First, this will be the relay handoff exchange zone, so plan accordingly, relay runners!
Second, this is where anyone running slower than 12:30/mile pace must cut into the park and finish your final ~six miles within Colonial Park until crossing the finish line!
12- Bathrooms
There will be bathrooms stationed near the registration tent and finish line. The other county parks bathrooms will be open and available, as well.
13- Water Stations
There will be four water stations along the course: For the 5k, and one half mile and two mile markers. For the ten miler, they are opportunities to get water six times along the course: 1.2 miles, 5k, 4.1 miles, 10k, 7.6 miles, and 9.1 miles.
Please feel free to email us with any further questions at gardenstatetrackclub@gmail.com.
Thank you again for registering, and we'll see ya this weekend!
