After what was a truly amazing event at Federal Twist Vineyard in May
in which over 600 runners & walkers ran through the beautiful Federal Twist Vineyard
and then enjoyed an after party to end all after parties,
it was obvious that we needed to produce another event at the beautiful Federal Twist Vineyard this Fall!

We are so happy to partner once again with the good folks at Federal Twist Vineyard
to bring you a brand new running event with a distance for everyone!

~Will Run for Wine 5k Vineyard Run/Walk

The beauty of this run is absolutely stunning!
It’s personally designed by Scoogie. 
(after running the Federal Twist Vineyard way too many times!)  

“It’s one of the most picturesque & beautiful courses we’ve ever designed!” 
~Run through the actual vineyards. 
~Stunningly picturesque!
(overlooks the Delaware River)
~A couple of rolling hills.
~No pavement or asphalt/all grass/grass & dirt roads.  

🍷
~Terra Vino Trail 5k

~70% in deep woods, HILLY, single track, roots, rocks, weeds, 
trees, bears (kidding. Maybe)
This course will challenge you!  

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL TERRA VINO (TRAIL 5K) RUNNERS:
Due to the storm a couple of weeks ago and the flooding that occurred, the trail is NOT suitable for running.
All Terra Vino/Trail runners will be automatically transferred over the the Will Run For Wine 5k vineyard run. 
No need to do anything.

Hopefully we can clean up the trail for the next Federal Twist Vineyard event, but there is A LOT of damage!

This is a PR course. Carpe Diem!
Run on the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park Trail along the banks of the Delaware River!
Finish among the vines at Federal Twist Vineyard.

~Kids’ 1/2 Mile Grape Juice Run

Start & finish in the awesome finish shoot as the other distances!
Run through the actual vines!

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WEATHER: 
This event is a rain/shine event. 
NOTE: We do not issue any refunds, transfers or credits for any reason. We have the right to revise or cancel the race due to emergency or weather issue....(but we really hope this doesn't happen:-)
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING COVID: 
Should the pandemic get worse in the coming months before this event, we will not issue refunds but rather make the event a virtual event. 
You will still receive all the normal Scoogie swag. 
All Swag will be able to be picked up at the first few events that we are able to have.

Race results will be emailed to you within minutes of you crossing the finish line!

AWARDS:
Awards given for 5k’s & Carpe Vino Half Marathon only, Kids Run is for FUN! Overall winner (male and female), plus top three males and females in each age category:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.
Note regarding awards:
If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award before leaving (at the registration tent) 
If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards. 
There is no mailing of awards (or shirts).
Note regarding the Carpe Vino Run Fest t-shirts:
There is no mailing of awards or shirts.
If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award. 
If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and it will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards. 
Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t shirt size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (t shirt) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts.

Note regarding the Will Run for Wine 5k course route:
The course is not completely smooth for the entire 5k! 
There will be some small holes and imperfections that you will need to navigate and some slight divots and ground imperfections. 
YOU WILL NEED TO FOCUS ON THE RUNNING 
SURFACE IN FRONT OF YOU. 
The 5k course is by no means difficult as far as large imperfections on the course, BUT there are some small imperfections that you WILL NEED TO BE ATTENTIVE TO.
