Participation Options:
- To participate in the 5K, you must click Register. During the registration process you will have the option to create or join a team, and create a fundraising page.
- If you can't attend the 5K but would like to create a fundraising page to support the event, please click Create A Fundraising Page. This will allow you to create a fundraising page for free without paying the registration fee to attend.
- If your child is participating in the Kids Fun Run, click Register to choose that option. Parents/guardians do not have to register to watch their child run. Please note the 5K and Kids Run do overlap in timing, so it is generally not possible to do both unless your group splits up.

Sign up now to join us on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at The Village Green in downtown Summit, NJ for a beautiful morning of exercise and fun for a great cause. Your morning will consist of a 5k run or walk along our beautiful course through Summit, and a Fun Run for the kids around The Village Green.
All proceeds support Bridges' efforts to prevent and end homelessness in Essex, Union and Somerset counties. Founded in Summit almost 40 years ago, Bridges' mission is to end homelessness through street outreach and intensive case management focusing on health, housing, and independence.
WHEN: Sunday, October 18th 2026
TIME:
- 8:00am - Check-in begins
- 8:50am - Warm-up
- 9:00am - 5K Run/Walk
- 9:30am - Kids Fun Run
- 10:00am - 5K Awards
ALL ABOUT IT: Each 5k participant will receive an event t-shirt, race bib, and post-race refreshments. Live DJ and volunteer opportunities will also be on-site throughout the morning. Top fundraisers and top racers in each category will receive awards after the race. T-shirts will only be guaranteed for those who register by October 2, 2026. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a medal and prize (no t-shirt).
EARLY BIRD RATES:
- 5K Run/Walk Participants - $40 (increases to $45 on Race Day, 10/18)
- Kids Fun Run - $10
PARKING: Parking is available on the street and in nearby municipal lots.
WATER STATION: There will be one water station on the course.
STROLLERS: Strollers are allowed on the race course, we just ask that you line up near the end for your safety and the safety of other participants.
POST RACE FOOD/DRINK: After you cross the finish line, we will provide free water, fruit and packaged post-race snacks.
*This is a rain or shine fundraising event, and we are unable to provide refunds in the event of cancellation.
