Welcome to the 8thAnnual Wayne Rotary 5K. This annual event assists the Wayne Rotary in raising much needed funds to support our Wayne Community. Provided the running of a 5K, a portion of the event proceeds will be allocated to support our Wayne Area High Schools running programs*. Provided the introduction of an upgraded venue, Our Lady of the Valley Church and a super fast and flat course the event has applied for Championship status and been accepted. The Rotary is super excited to share this event with the USATF and their Coed Teams!
Wayne Rotary Club-Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1958. Wayne Rotary members volunteer locally, regionally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto "Service Above Self". Wayne Rotary Club also proudly supports:
Wayne Twsp. First Aid Squad, Wayne Community Policing, Wayne Day, Wayne 3rd Grade Dictionary Program, Preakness Healthcare, Cumac, Wayne Interfaith Network Food Pantry, PC Sheriff's Canine Unit, WV&WHHS Clifford North Scholarship, Wayne Nat'l Honor Societies, DePaul HS Interact Club, WPU Music Scholarship, WV&WHHS Jerome Pinsky Scholarships, WV&WHHS RYLA, Scholarships, FoundAbilites, RYLA, and Thanksgiving in the Spring events for Wayne seniors suffering food insecurities. Additionally Wayne Rotary supports and sponsors many international projects such as Polio Plus polio eradication program, Gift of Life children’s life saving cardiac surgeries, and The Guatemala Literacy Project
*In order to be eligible, for an endowment interested HS Track/Running team must participate in this event.

COED TEAM AWARDS PRIZE POOL
The Prize Pool ($) will accrue by $2 provided every participant registration.
The TOP SIX (6) COED TEAM finishes will be AWARDED.
Below is an example of the Prize Pool breakdown IF... One thousand (1000) participants were to register.
$2 x 1000 = $2000 (total prize pool). The TOP SIX (6) finish places awards will breakdown as follows:
1st, 35%/$700, 2nd, 25%/$500, 3rd 20%/$400, 4th 10%/$200, 5th 6%/$120, 6th 4%/$80
COED TEAMS CAN HAVE AS MANY TEAM MEMBERS AS DESIRED. THE TOP THREE (3) MALE AND TOP THREE (3) FEMALE FNISHERS OF EACH TEAM WILL BE USED TO FINIALIZE THE TEAMS COMPOSITE FINISH TIME. Prize Pool will default to the USATF requested amounts from $500 to $100 for the first five (5) teams should the COED TEAM AWARD PRIZE POOL calculations fall short (are less).

YES!!! YOU read that correctly! The Village Inn is located on "Runny" "Mead" Drive. All Wayne Rotary particpants, family & friends will have exclusive use of the front deck from 11AM to 2:30PM, Saturday, April 26th. Its pay as you go. There are numerous beer and wine options starting at $5/6 respectively. If you need something else, the Village Inn maintain an EXTENSIVELY STOCKED FULL BAR! Ample street parking is avaiable if you cannot locate a spot in the BACK lot! Its a quick "2 minute" ride from OLV to the Village Inn. MAP FROM OLV to the VILLAGE INN Be sure to take a break, and reward yourself with the Wayne Rotary field after you run your PERSONAL BEST! Cheers!
