THE CALDWELL CLASSIC - a memorial 5K RUN/WALK honoring Theresa DiMasi and Marie LanFrank
Along with our Premier Sponsors - Iron Physical Therapy and Kiwanis Club of Caldwell/West Essex - the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation (CWCEF) invites you to our Annual 5K Run/Walk on May 17, 2025. This community-wide event honors the legacies of two of the CWCEF's Founding Members, Theresa DiMasi and Marie LanFrank. Their vision of helping every student in our district be successful is still very much at the heart of our mission today.
SPECIAL THANKS to the Caldwell and West Caldwell Police Departments, the CWC Board of Education, our school principals, teachers and maintenance department for their efforts in ensuring a safe and successful event!
The CWCEF would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you.... every one of you, every volunteer, sponsor, family and participant that has taken their time and blessed us with their generosity in order to help make each school year a success... 7:00 AM Event Site Opens for registration & bib pick-up, children's area with tattoos & coloring pages, DJ/music, fire truck, and sponsor giveaways.
8:00 AM 1-Mile Family Fun Run (all ages)
8:15 AM Children's Dash (up to 5 years old; registration not required. However, if you'd like your child to receive an event shirt, please register for the 1- Mile)
8:30 AM Welcome Remarks
8:45 AM 5K Run/Walk (route map below)
9:30 AM Awards
DJ until 10:00AM (provided by EYE to EYE Entertainment)
5K Awards
Top male and female overall finishers
1st, 2nd, 3rd place male and female in each age group (excluding overall winners):
Ages 7 & under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14
15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59,
60-69, 70-79, 80 & over
And... Finisher medals for all registered participants!

Friday, May 16: 4-7pm at Iron Physical Therapy, 474 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell
Race Day, May 17: Bib pick-up and event-day registration begins at 7:00am

Monday, May 12: 3-3:30pm at Lincoln Elementary School, Caldwell
Tuesday, May 13: 3-3:30pm at Washington Elementary School, West Caldwell
Wednesday, May 14: 3-3:30pm at Jefferson Elementary School, Caldwell
Thursday, May 15: 3-3:30pm at Wilson Elementary School, West Caldwell
Race Route
1-Mile Fun Run: Start at JCHS. Up Woodmere Rd. Turn right onto Lane Ave. Turn right onto Westville. Back to JCHS... TAKE THIS LOOP TWICE. (This is not a timed race.)
5K (see map): Start at JCHS. Up Westville Ave. Through the park. Past the pond. Turn back on Brookside. Down Westville Ave. End at JCHS. *Water station every mile.
