Description: 2017 Paw Prints 5K on Saturday, September 30th from 8 am - 11 am. A certified 5K off-road race/walk and a fun trail walk. Participants are welcomed to run or walk with their dogs. Everyone is encouraged to solicit pledges. This is a fundraising run/walk with proceeds going to support TNR (trap-neuter-return) of community cats in Burlington County. Over 800 cats lost their lives at the shelter in 2016. Let’s work together to stop the senseless killing of cats in our county. Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter is a 501(c) (3) private non-profit organization. We enhance the lives of shelter animals and help them find homes. Additional info: We held our first Paw Prints 5K in April 2017 on the same day as our annual pet fest at the Burlington County Animal Shelter. We decided to make Paw Prints a stand-alone event. We'll hold it annually on the last Saturday in September. We had so much fun in April and don't want to wait over a year to do it again, so we're having Paw Prints 5K twice in 2017. We also get an opportunity to try a new venue, beautiful Smithville Park.
