ABOUT THE RACE:
The Las Montanas FunRacer is a scenic trail race nestled in the Cibola National Forest in Placitas, just north of Albuquerque. This event has something for everyone. There are three distances: 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K. There are events for the kids, and you can even bring your dog along for the 5K. If you're looking to record your finish time, choose from the 5K Timed or 10K Timed Run.

The course is a well-maintained wide forest road with breathtaking views of the Sandia Mountains and unobstructed views of the westside. It is welcoming for the new runner while offering enough difficulty for the elite. End your race with water and snacks, and be sure to visit with our sponsors.

1 Mile Kids Fun Run - This is an untimed event
5K Untimed Doggie Walk/Run-Walk - This is an untimed event
5K Timed Run/Walk (Dogs Welcomed) - This is a timed event
10K Timed Run - This is a timed event

REGISTRATION FEES:
5K - 10K
Early-Bird Registration through August 15: $30
Open Registration from August 16 - September 18: $35
Registration on the day of the event, September 19: $40
Registration is only available in person on September 18th and 19th

KIDS FUN RUN
Registration through September 19: $15

COURSE:
This is a beautiful trail race on the well-maintained Forest Loop Road 445 in the Cibola National Forest along NM Highway 165 in Placitas. There are several distance options including a 1-Mile, 5K, and 10K. The 1-Mile and 5K courses are an out and back, while the 10K is a loop along the trail.


PARKING:
Parking is available along highway 165 and at nearby shopping centers. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Look for parking volunteers to assist you, and please do not park on residential roads.


SHIRTS:
Race shirts are guaranteed to those who register by September 3rd. All others will choose from any remaining shirts on a first come first serve basis starting at Packet Pickup. Shirt sizes are Youth Small - Medium, Women Small - XXL, and Men Small - XXL.


AWARDS:
5K Timed & 10K Timed Awards - Medals
Top 3 overall runners for 5K and 10K will also receive gift cards from our sponsor, xxx, in the amounts of $100 for 1st, $85 for 2nd, and $65 for 3rd.
Top 3 Male & Female Winners for 5K and 10K
Top 3 Male & Female Runners in Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
