We want to recognize and thank our men and women in uniform. If you have served in the U.S. military, please take advantage of our discount policy.

MILITARY DISCOUNT
As a thank you to our men and women in uniform we offer a 15 % discount on the Full and Half Marathon, and State Forty-Seven 47K / 50K. This offer is limited to anyone with a current, valid United States military ID or DD214 (or the new driver’s license with the “Veteran” designation). That can mean husbands, wives, and children under 21. While veterans are eligible for the discount, their immediate families are not.

Please note that if you are working for the DoD as an employee or contractor, unfortunately, you are not eligible for the discount. Only active-duty members of the US military and their families, as well as veterans, are eligible. Anyone using the military discount without a military ID or DD214, or new “Veteran” NM driver’s license, will not be able to pick up their bib, will forfeit all fees, and will be banned for life from our races.

You MUST show a valid military ID or a copy of your DD214 (or the new state-issued driver’s license, or other official state-issued ID, with the “Veteran” (designation) to pick up your bib. You must pick up your packet in person–someone else may not pick it up for you. To preserve the integrity of this discount, we will not release a military discounted bib without the proper ID.

REFUNDS DUE TO ORDERS
If any active duty service member registers and subsequently receives orders that prevent them from attending the race, we will refund your registration fees 100%, including race extras and processing fees. (Proof of deployment required) Registrations that use the military discount cannot be transferred or sold, but are subject to our normal refund and deferment policy for reasons other than deployment.

Where do you I get my packet, timing chip, t-shirt?
Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Wingfield Park 12 pm-5 pm.

Is there race day registration or packet pick up for the half marathon & marathon?
Yes, race day packet pick up will start at 5:30am.

On race day where do I wear my bib number?
Make sure your bib number is always easily visible to race officials. 


Will photographers be on the course?
Not on the course but they will be at the start and finish.

What time do the races start?
5K and 1 Mile

Will there be finisher medals?
Yes.

Will awards be given to age group winners in all the races?
Yes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  Schlotzskys Bun Run 5K winners will receive medals. Marathon and half marathon winners will receive carved bears. 

Top 3 Overall winners for the 1 mile will receive swim tickets.

CASH PRIZES FOR OVERALL WINNERS
Top 3 overall Male & Female winners in the 5K will receive the following cash prizes:
1st – $ 75.00 
2nd - $ 50.00
3rd - $ 25.00.

Top 3 overall Male & Female winners in the half marathon will receive the following cash prizes:
1st – $ 100.00 
2nd - $ 50.00
3rd - $ 25.00.

Top 3 overall Male & Female winners in the marathon will receive the following cash prizes:
1st – $ 200.00 
2nd - $ 100.00
3rd - $ 50.00.

How are age groups broken down for 5K, half marathon & marathon?
15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 & over

Will there be clothing drop off available on race day?
Yes at Aid Station 1

After the race, where do I pick up my drop bag?
Finish Line

Where do I park on race day?
There will be parking across from Wingfield Park

Are we allowed to run with our pet?
Yes but must remain on leash 

Can I run with a stroller?
Yes

If I decide to drop out of the race or need assistance, what do I do?
There will be people at the aid stations every 2 miles and someone following  

Where will water/aid stations be located?
See the maps posted on the registration page to see where aid stations will be located.

What will be at the water/aid stations?
Water, Gatorade & GU energy gel.  If you are carrying your own water bottle you will be able to refill at the water stations.

How will I know where to go on the course?
It will be marked with colored arrows and signs 

Will there be any post-race refreshments?
Yes
