Description

Thank you for your interest in the 8th Annual Walk/Run for Kids 2023! 
Proceeds from this event benefit seriously ill children and their families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of El Paso while their child receives medical care at an area hospital in El Paso or Las Cruces. Our champion programs improve the health, education, and well-being of children and their families.
During the online registration process, you can register as an individual, start your own team and even join an existing team. Add Team Members at any time!  Day of Event Registration will be at 7 am at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino. 
Last year, Freddy's Wild Sliders won the TROPHY for the Largest Team Challenge.  They recruited 135 members!!  This year they'll have to pass the trophy down to a new winner for 2023.  Will it be you and your team??  Let's Go!!

T-Shirt & Swag Bag Pick Up Info:

Swag Bags can be picked up at Ronald McDonald House on Thursday, June 15th and Friday, June 16th from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. To pick up your swag bag, all we need is your name and t-shirt size.  If you purchased socks, they will be included with your bag. If your are picking up for your team or multiple people, please call ahead so we can prepare.
Ronald McDonald House is located at 300 E. California Avenue, El Paso, TX 79902, North of Downtown El Paso.

AGE GROUP FOR MEDALS:

-Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the following age groups:

  • 12 and Under
  • 13-17
  • 18-24
  • 25-29
  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60-69
  • 70+

*Winners will be announced after the start of the 1 Mile Fun Walk.

                                                    
EVENT CHALLENGES:

Win awesome prizes by participating in our challenges:
Best Dressed Dogs Enter your dog in the BEST DRESSED DOG Challenge. Leashed Fur Babies are welcome to walk with you! Dress them up and show them off. Winners will be announced on the day of the event!
Best Dressed Team  Get Creative! We love a good theme and can't wait to see what your team comes up with.  Winners will be notified at the event on June 17th.

REGISTRATION DATES:

Special Online Early Bird Registration through April 7, 2023
Early Birds get a discount on registration and are guaranteed to receive an Official Walk|Run T-shirt in your preferred size and a Swag Bag full of goodies provided by our sponsors.
Regular Online Registration starts April 8 - June 4, 2023
When you register by June 4th, 2023 you are guaranteed to receive an Official Walk|Run T-shirt in your preferred size, and a Swag Bag.
Late Online Registration is June 5, 2023 - June 17, 2023
The last day to register online for the in-person event is the day of the event. Virtual participants can register through June 17th. Swag Bags will be available but LIMITED on a first-come-first-served basis. 
In-Person registration will be available the day of the event beginning at 7 am.

Official Walk|Run T-Shirts:
T-shirts are guaranteed if registered by May 30, 2023
T-shirts are NOT guaranteed for Late Registrants. May 31 - June 15, 2023.
 
Late Registrants:
Late registrants do not receive t-shirts but will receive a bib number for the 5K race.     
 
Download Official Race Bib:
Virtual Participants- Provided within your Walk|Run for Kids email confirmation are instructions on how to download your digital bib. The instructions include a link that will redirect you to your digital bib which you can download and print.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of El Paso could not exist without the generosity of our amazing Sponsors! We have Sponsorship Levels for all budgets and you too can become one. Sponsorship Levels come with varying benefits which we would be more than happy to share with you. The most rewarding benefit, however, is that your organization would have the opportunity to help provide a home away from home to the families of critically ill children receiving treatment in area hospitals.

The last thing parents of critically ill children should have to worry about are shelter and food costs. Every effort helps those families remain close to their babies through some of the toughest times in their lives.
