Description

The event takes place on one of the Northeast's premier permanent obstacle course venues. The Newbsanity Mud Gauntlet course is consistently nominated by MudRunGuide as one of the top permanent obstacles courses in the nation.

The Newbsanity Mud Gauntlet is a tough and challenging course but offers options on many of the obstacles. This 3.5 mile course winds around 100 acres of wooded terrain in which you'll encounter many natural and man-made obstacles. You'll get to choose your difficulty level by taking either the Risk and Reward path or the Tried and True path. This allows for the seasoned athlete and the first-timer to compete together, side‑by‑side.

Single Lap Open - This heat is for anyone who is looking for mud, obstacles and adventure! Participants in this heat will have a chance to tackle all of the obstacles on the course, but are not required to attempt or complete all obstacles. Athletes are encouraged to help each other out on course and have fun! Open heats are NOT timed.

Multi Lap Open - This heat is for anyone who wants multiple hours of mud! Participants are encouraged to take on all obstacles and penalties, but are not required to complete or attempt all obstacles. Laps will not be timed, but participants will have 3.5 hours to complete as many laps as possible.

Elite Single Lap- This heat is timed and awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers. Athletes in this heat are expected to complete all obstacles or associated penalties.

Elite Multi Lap - Athletes in this heat are expected to complete all obstacles or associated penalties. Athletes may not start a lap after the 4 hour time limit but are able to finish the lap they are on. The first lap will count towards overall single lap awards, and will also be included in total lap count.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have a liberal refund policy, so if you are sick, have symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with symptoms, please stay home and we will refund your entry. Masks or face coverings are required at all times except when on the course.
