MEDVED'S SCARRIER GAMES (FREE!)

BOO.

Medved's special brand of seasonal running nonsense returns with the Halloween-themed Scarrier Games on Thursday October 24th, 2024.

The good folks at the Sheffield Pub (1776 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14618) will be hosting this year's spooky hunt in Brighton, and our friends from Saucony and Nathan are joining us with Demos and prizes. Gameplay occurs on a course comprising checkpoints and challenges with the usual pumpkin-shaped nonsense. 

Both Team Captains and Players require registration. Team Captains will need to register first and create a team name and then Team Players will register under their specific team's name.

Teams of 5 -10 (the most members allowed to collect points on a team are ten participants) will work together to complete challenges and acquire checkpoints within a set time limit of seventy-five minutes. Half scavenger hunt, half adventure race, total fun!

Game day check-in will open at 5:30 PM and the Games will start promptly at 6:15 PM. Team captains should have completed check-in by 6 PM.

(Each team will be required to carry a cell phone and have access to post on the Medved Facebook Group Home Page) The Team Captain will also be required to have their cell phone on them at all times during the Games.

Don't have a team? No problem, sign up as a Free Agent and we will put you on one of the Free Agent teams.

Game Rules:

• A choose your own adventure scavenger hunt, runners will earn points by visiting various locations and completing challenges.
• You will receive the scavenger hunt list and area map at Scarier Games check-in on game day.
• To claim your points for each location/challenge, you must post a picture of your entire team at a designated location and post to the Medved Running & Walking Outfitters Group Facebook Group.  Please make sure you are a member of this group prior to game day!
• Posts are eligible to earn you points between the designated race time.  Any posts after this time will not count.
• All participants are required to follow traffic, and pedestrian, regulations at all times.
• Headlamps & Reflective gear are required to participate.
  

Bonus Points:

• Earn bonus points by making a donation to or bringing an item to be donated to Verona Street Animal Shelter. Animal Services Wish List
• Earn bonus points by dressing up in the spirit of the games!
• Earn bonus points by wearing Saucony shoes to the Games!
